Sri Balaji Albums

Our place is inside Velammal Mansion on Sekkalai Road, specifically in Room No. 11 and 12. It’s a bit of a walk up if you aren't used to the building. We spend most of our hours puttering around with different types of paper and synthetic sheets for the albums. The mansion itself is an old landmark, so finding us isn’t usually too hard for people who live around here. Inside the rooms, there is always a lot of glue and tape lying around on the worktables. We handle a lot of wedding photos and family events, putting them into covers that stay together for a long time. It gets a bit cramped when several large albums are being worked on at once. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we just ignore. We don’t really have a big sign outside, just the room numbers on the door. It’s mostly quiet work, except for the sound of the trimmer cutting through thick cardstock. We keep the finished albums on the back shelves until the owners come to pick them up. Sekkalai Road is always noisy with bikes and cars, but inside the mansion, it feels a bit more tucked away. We’ve been in these two rooms for quite some time now and everything has its own spot, even if it looks a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time. We just focus on the task at hand and get things bound.
