Our bakery is located at 336 Bharathiar Road. Every morning, we start early to get the ovens heated up. The smell of fresh bread and biscuits starts to fill the street before most people are even awake. It’s a busy road, and we get a lot of people stopping by on their way to work. We’ve got those big glass cases where we keep the sweets and the puffs. They always need wiping down because of the fingerprints. The kitchen in the back is where the real work happens. It’s hot and there’s flour everywhere, even on the ceiling sometimes. We use old recipes that haven't changed much over the years. My sister handles the counter while I stay in the back with the dough. We don't have any fancy seating, just a small space for people to stand and eat. The wooden shelves are getting a bit old, but they still hold the trays just fine. Sometimes the traffic on Bharathiar Road is so loud we can’t hear the customers properly. We make everything in small batches so it doesn't sit around for too long. The honey cakes are usually the first thing to run out. We don’t do any big promotions or anything. People just come in because they like the smell or they’ve been coming here for years. It’s just a small shop trying to keep up with the daily rush of the city.
