Jain Machinery Store

We are located on Rit College Road in Islampur, right in the Rajaram Nagar area. Jain Machinery Store has been a fixture here for a while, mostly serving the farmers and the small workshops around town. Because we are so close to the RIT college, we see a lot of students walking past our front door every day. We sell all kinds of machinery parts, motors, and pump sets that are used in the fields or in small factories. The store smells like machine oil and cold metal, which is a smell I’ve grown to like over the years. We have shelves full of belts, pulleys, and bearings, and it takes a bit of time to find the exact size sometimes. Our workbench in the back is usually covered in half-finished repairs and oily rags. It’s not a clean place, but it’s a working place. People come to us when their equipment breaks down and they need a part right away to get back to work. We don't do much advertising; people just know we are here by the college road. Sometimes we sit out front on the bench and watch the traffic go by while we wait for the next customer. It’s a steady life and we’ve made a lot of friends in Islampur through this shop. We try to be helpful and give advice on which motor might last longer, based on what we’ve seen.
