J J Tiles

Down in Kuzhithurai, specifically in the Vilavancode Taluk area of Kannacode, you’ll find J J Tiles at 26/2. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time. We spend most of our hours among the crates and the samples. The building itself is old but it stays relatively cool even when the humidity gets high. We don't put on any airs here. You come in, look at what we have, and we tell you what’s available. Most of our customers are folks from the nearby villages who are doing a bit of tiling in their homes. We spend a lot of time loading up small trucks or even the occasional motorbike when someone just needs a few pieces. My hands are usually covered in a bit of grit from moving the stock around, but that’s the nature of the business. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. We just rely on people knowing where we are and coming by when they have a project. Sometimes we share a bit of local news with whoever stops in. It feels good to be part of the local economy here in Kannacode. We’ve been doing this long enough that we know which types of tiles hold up best in this weather. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation where we try to stay organized and helpful to the people who live nearby.
