Suraj Bio Labs

Suraj Bio Labs is located at H-302 in Subhash Nagar. It’s a regular building in a residential-looking area, so people sometimes walk right past it. Inside, it’s a bit different. We have our lab setup where we do our biological work and testing. It’s not a huge place, but we have the equipment we need to get the job done. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and writing down numbers in our notebooks. It’s quiet work compared to a factory. We have to keep things very clean, so we spend a lot of time washing glassware and wiping down the counters. We aren't trying to be some giant research center. We’re just a small group of people who know our way around a lab. Sometimes we have to wait days for a culture to grow, which can be a bit frustrating. We just drink more tea and check the incubator again. My neighbor often asks what we are doing in here with all the vials and tubes. I just tell him we are working on bio solutions. We don't have a receptionist, so if someone knocks, one of us just gets up from the bench to see who it is. It’s a simple setup. We focus on the science and making sure our records are right. It’s a lot of routine, but we like the precision of it.
