We are located at F-1/A in the first site of the Panki Industrial Estate. Sun Footwear Industries is basically a group of people who know how to make shoes. We’ve been in this particular spot for quite a while now. The factory floor is usually quite loud with the sound of the presses and stitching machines. It’s not a place for suits and ties. We’re usually in our work clothes, making sure the daily targets are met. The industrial estate has its challenges, like the occasional power cut or the traffic near the gates, but we make do. We produce a lot of different types of footwear. It’s all about getting the details right so the final product is solid. Our office is just a small room near the entrance where we keep the files and take calls. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just want to make sure the workers are okay and the boxes are loaded onto the trucks every evening. It’s a simple, hardworking life. We’ve seen the estate change over the years, but our routine stays pretty much the same. We take our breaks together and talk about the news. It’s a decent place to work. Sometimes the rainy season makes the roads here a mess, but we still show up and get the job done. That’s just how we are. There's always a sense of satisfaction when the day is over and the gates finally close. We'll be back tomorrow.
