Shiva Enterprises

Shiva Enterprises is tucked away at Plot No-4/ A, right by the IIT Gate and 15-No Gumti in Kalyanpur. If you’ve ever been near the gate, you know it’s a spot where something is always happening and people are always moving. We’ve been here for a good bit of time. The shop is a bit small, and things tend to pile up near the entrance, but we like it that way. It means we have what people are looking for. We handle a bit of everything—supplies, parts, whatever the local folks and the college people might need. It’s a bit of a mix. The train crossing nearby means we hear the whistles all day long, and the traffic at the gumti can get backed up pretty bad. Sometimes you can’t even hear yourself think when a train goes by. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the person who walks in finds what they need so they can get back to their own work. It’s a simple way to run things. My family has been around this area for years, so we know most of the neighbors. We sit outside on stools when it’s slow, watching the crowds go toward the IIT. It’s a good spot to be, right in the thick of it. We just keep the doors open and see who comes by with a problem we can help solve. It’s just how we live our lives.
