Aman Prakashan

Our place is at No. 104 A / 80 C in Rambagh, right near the Tuti Masjid Chouraha. It’s a busy corner of the neighborhood. We do a lot of printing and publishing work here. The machines are old but they still run well enough to get the books and papers out on time. There’s always the smell of ink in the air and stacks of paper everywhere you look. Sometimes the noise from the chouraha outside gets a bit loud, but we are used to it by now. We spend most of our time checking proofs or making sure the binding is right. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we take it seriously. People come to us with all sorts of manuscripts or documents they need printed. We aren't a big fancy publishing house with glass offices; we are a working print shop with grease on the machines and ink on our hands. The location near the Masjid makes it easy for people to find us. We’ve been in Rambagh for a good while, and most of the locals know the sound of our presses. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. Each day is just about making sure the ink goes on the page correctly and the orders get picked up.
