Ram Balak Sons

We have been running Ram Balak Sons out of this spot on Birhana Road for a long time. The address is Plot No. 53/71, right in the middle of the Naya Ganj area near Ghantaghar. It is a very crowded part of the city. We are located right opposite the Naya Ganj Dhak Khana, which is the post office, so there is a constant stream of people and vehicles passing by. The streets here are narrow and usually filled with rickshaws and delivery bikes, giving the whole place a very lively and loud feeling. We have lived and worked around here so long that the noise of the horns barely registers anymore. Our space is packed with stock and boxes piled up wherever we can find a bit of room. It is an old building, so the stairs are a bit narrow and the floors are not perfectly straight, but it is our home. We know all the other shopkeepers around Ghantaghar and often stop to chat. There is no corporate strategy or big plan here. We just buy the items we need and sell what we have to the people who walk in. It is a family-run business and we keep things as simple as possible. On days when it is not too hot, we might sit on the steps for a minute just to watch the crowd go by. It is just the way life is in Naya Ganj.
