Chhail Behari & Sons

Chhail Behari & Sons is located over at Plot No. 84/20 inside the JK Iron Compound in Fazal ganj. It’s a busy spot, mostly full of heavy trucks and the sound of metal being moved around. We’ve been here for a long time, and the name on the board is starting to fade a bit from the sun and the dust. The compound gets pretty loud during the day, so you have to speak up a bit if you’re standing outside. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, some old chairs, and piles of papers that never seem to go away. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just a place where we come to work every morning when the gates open. The tea guy comes around twice a day with hot chai in glass cups, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon. Fazal ganj is a gritty area, but it’s where we know everyone. You see the same faces every day, from the drivers to the guys working the other plots. We just keep our heads down and handle the iron business. The fans in the office don't do much when it's really hot, but we manage. It’s not a polished corporate office, but it’s ours, and we’ve been doing things this way for years without much reason to change. We just focus on the day’s work and head home when the shutters go down at night.
