R.K Devi Memorial Hospital

You will find the hospital at 113/157 in Swaroop Nagar. It is a solid, plain building that has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. We handle a little bit of everything here. There is an emergency area, some general wards, and rooms for people who have to stay overnight. The lobby is usually quite crowded with families sitting around and waiting for news. It is not exactly a quiet place, especially with the carts rolling down the tiled halls and the paging system going off all the time. We have a staff of nurses and doctors who have been working here for years. It is a local hospital, so we see a lot of the same faces from around the Swaroop Nagar area. We do not try to make the place look fancier than it actually is. The main focus is just on getting the patients treated and sent back home. Sometimes the elevators are a bit slow or the tea in the canteen is not great, but the medical care is what really matters to the people who come here. We deal with broken bones, seasonal illnesses, and routine checkups every single day. It is a lot of work and the shifts can be very long for everyone. We do not have a marketing budget. People just know where we are when they get sick. It is a functional, busy hospital serving the community.
