Niryatak Handloom

Niryatak Handloom is over at 35 A/1, Shujat Ganj. It’s a part of town that has its own rhythm. We’ve been at this address for quite some time, and the building has become very familiar to us, with all its little problems and benefits. It’s a practical space more than anything else. We have the looms and the storage areas all set up so we can move around, though it gets a bit tight when we have a lot of stock in. Shujat Ganj can be a busy place, and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We don't have a big reception area or a lot of staff. It’s just a few of us who know the trade and keep things moving. We spend a lot of time checking over what we’ve made to see if it looks right and making sure the machines are running properly. Sometimes the noise of the work makes it hard to hear the phone, but we manage somehow. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do here. We just make things. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every week. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the neighborhood folks too. It’s a good relationship to have. We don't really look for much more than a productive day and a bit of quiet at the end of it when we finally head out.
