If you look for us in Ajeet Ganj, you will find us at number 8/13 in the Iind Safed Colony. This part of Begum Purwa is pretty crowded, and there is always something going on in the streets. We focus on leather socks and other Tooba products right here in the workshop. The smell of treated leather is something you just get used to after a couple of days. We have stacks of material piled up and several sewing machines running most of the time. It is not the cleanest work in the world, but it is what we know how to do. The lighting inside is not the brightest, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the sizes are right. It is a small team, and we have all been doing this for a long time, so we do not need to talk much to understand what needs doing. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the machines have been running for hours. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively. We sell to a lot of different people, and they usually find us through word of mouth in the local market. It is a steady kind of life, just making things by hand and sending them out to customers who need them. We are not big on formalities, we just focus on the leather.
