We spend the majority of our time around leather and rubber soles. It is often a noisy place with the machines running, but that is just how we get things done. We are not trying to be some high-end luxury brand with a big price tag. We just make shoes that people can actually wear comfortably in their daily lives. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with scraps of material and tools lying around. We have been at this specific spot for a good number of years now. Most of our neighbors are doing similar kinds of work, so there is always a lot of activity happening out in the street. Some days we have many pairs of shoes to finish and other days things are a bit quieter for us. We hire people from the nearby blocks who know how to handle the tools and materials properly. It is definitely not a fancy air-conditioned showroom. It is a real workshop where the actual work happens every day. We keep the doors open and just get on with our business.
