Hindustan Engineering Company

Our workshop, Hindustan Engineering Company, is situated at C-23 B, Site 1, in the Panki Industrial Area. Panki is a large place with a lot of big factories and smaller sheds like ours. We’ve been in this specific spot for quite some years. The building is a simple structure made of brick and metal sheets. It’s not much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we spend twelve hours a day. The floor is always busy with someone welding or fixing a part. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their job without being told. The sound of the industrial fans is something we don't even notice anymore. It gets hot in the summer, especially under the metal roof, but we just keep the water jars filled and carry on. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. Most of our work comes from the same few clients we’ve had for a decade. Site 1 is a good location because it’s easy for the big trucks to get in and out. We usually have a bit of a mess in the yard with scrap metal and old crates, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay busy.
