Our factory is situated at 59-A on the 150 Feet Road in Jajmau. This area is known for its leather industry, and we’ve been part of that community for quite a while now. At Calico Shoes, we focus on making sturdy footwear that people can actually use in their daily lives. The workshop is a large, open space that's always filled with the sounds of heavy sewing machines and the smell of industrial glue and fresh leather. It’s not the cleanest or the quietest environment, but it’s where all the real work happens. We have a group of local workers who have been with us for years, and they really know how to handle the machines and the materials. Our office is just a small partitioned area at the front of the building where we deal with the bills and the orders coming in. The road outside is constantly busy with big trucks, so there’s always a bit of dust settled on everything in the office. We don't spend any time on fancy branding or polished advertisements; we just make the shoes and send them out to the shops that sell them. We just focus on doing a decent job and letting the product speak for itself. It’s a straightforward business, and we don't try to make it sound like anything more than it is. We’re just here every day, making sure the production line keeps moving and everyone gets their work done.
