Our place is located at No. 112/93 A in Bhenajhabar, right in the Swaroop Nagar area. It’s a busy part of town, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. Inside the shop, there are rows of clothes hanging on metal racks that sometimes rattle when you move them. We try to keep things tidy, but with people looking through the shirts and kurtas all day, things get a bit messy by closing time. The lighting is okay, but we could probably use a few more bulbs near the back changing rooms. I spend a lot of time folding fabric and making sure the sizes are in the right spots. It’s a lot of work, especially when a new delivery truck shows up and we have to haul boxes inside. The street outside is usually full of parked scooters and cars, which makes it a bit cramped. We have a small counter where we handle the bills, and the drawer sticks sometimes if you pull it too hard. Most of the folks who come in are locals who live nearby and just want something decent to wear for work or a small gathering. It’s not fancy here. It’s just a regular shop where we show up, open the shutters, and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when it’s not too crowded. That’s pretty much how things go at this Swaroop Nagar spot.
