Exelent China Town

We are located at Stall No 3 on Mall Road in Kanpur. Our spot is right opposite the Gaurav Hotel, which is a big landmark around here in the 208004 area. Working out of a stall is a lot different than a big restaurant. It’s much more direct. I am right there in the middle of everything, seeing the people on Mall Road walk by all day long. It can get really crowded and loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. I’ve been at Exelent China Town for a while now and I know most of the other vendors nearby. We have a small space, so we have to be very organized. I spend my time cooking and talking to the people who stand by the counter. It’s a simple life. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. If people like what we make, they come back and tell their friends. That’s how it works on Mall Road. You can see the Gaurav Hotel from where I stand, and sometimes their guests come over to try something different. The weather in Kanpur can be tough, either really hot or raining hard, but we stay open regardless. It’s just how we make a living. We keep the burners going and the food ready for whoever is hungry. It’s a busy, messy, and honest way to spend the day.
