40-40 Foods & Spices Llp is based out in Kanpur. Specifically we are at MIG II Barra 8 in a shop belonging to Ram Pal at C 10. It is a very local neighborhood spot and we like being part of the community here. The shop isn't very large so we have to be smart about how we stack the spice bags and food containers. It is the kind of place where customers can just walk in and have a chat while we work. We don't have any fancy dividers or corporate branding all over the walls. Most of our day is spent weighing things out and talking to the people who stop by. The Barra 8 area is quite lively and there are always kids playing nearby or neighbors heading to the market. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks while it spins but it helps during the Kanpur heat. Our bookkeeping is mostly done by hand in big registers. It is a bit old-fashioned but it works for us. We don't try to make things sound more complicated than they are. We just sell food and spices to the people who need them. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to sit around waiting for the truck but that is part of the job. It is a modest shop and we are just regular people doing our best.
