We’ve got our branch of Ericsson India located at 13 384 Civil Lines in Kanpur. The pincode is 208001 if you are looking it up on a map. Civil Lines is a well-known area, so it’s fairly central for us. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose for the work we do. It’s mostly just desks, chairs, and people talking on phones or looking at screens. We don’t really have a big reception desk with a fancy person sitting there. Usually, you just walk in and see someone busy at their station. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road outside, but that’s just how Kanpur is most days. We try to keep things organized but it gets cluttered when we have a lot of projects going on at once. It’s an honest place to work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big decorations or anything. The team knows what they have to do, and we just get on with it. It’s better than being in a massive skyscraper where you don’t know anyone's name. Here, we all know each other and the local tea stall around the corner is quite popular with the staff. It’s a basic, functional office for the company in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We keep things simple and focus on the daily tasks that need our attention.
