This office is situated at 65 266 in Moti Mohal, right in the heart of Kanpur. If you know Kanpur, you know that Moti Mohal is a very busy area with lots of commerce going on. We have been here for Bank Of America for quite a while. The building is an older one, and it has that classic look you see in the city center. We are surrounded by all kinds of shops and local businesses. Our office is tucked away inside, providing a bit of a refuge from the chaos of the streets. It is just a few rooms filled with desks, computers, and a lot of shelving for documents. We spend our days processing whatever comes in and making sure the records are kept straight. The electricity is mostly reliable, but we have a generator just in case, which is common for Kanpur. We don't have a big lobby or a waiting room. If someone needs to see us, they usually just come right in and find us at our desks. The air is often heavy with the smell of street food from the vendors outside, which is a nice distraction. We are just a small group of workers trying to stay busy and do our tasks right. It’s not a fancy corporate environment, just a practical place to work in a very lively part of town. We finish up in the evenings and lock up before the night market gets too crowded and the traffic gets even worse.
