Mamma'S Foods

We are located on Pilathara Road in Pazhayangadi. It’s a good spot for a food business because of all the people traveling along that road every day. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen area. There is always something cooking or being prepped for the next day. The name Mamma’S Foods reflects how we think about what we make here. It’s not like factory food you buy in the city. We use our hands and take our time with things. The building is right there where the road curves. We have some simple shelves where we put the finished products. Pazhayangadi is a place with a lot of history and we feel like we are a small part of it now. We don't have a big corporate structure or managers. It’s just us and a few helpers from the area. We get our ingredients locally when we can. The floor is usually a bit sticky from the sugar or the spices we use, but we scrub it down every night. We don't have a polished showroom for people to see. It’s a workspace first. People stop by on their way home to pick up something to eat for their families. We have a couple of fans that make a lot of noise. We don't mind the sound. It’s just the sound of work. We’ve been on Pilathara Road long enough that people just know us by the smell of the food cooking. We just keep it simple every day.
