You can find us over at Muhamed Yasid K.P. "Naaz" near the Colony Gate. We are tucked away in Kalladathode, which is under the Alavil post office in Kannur. It’s a nice enough area to work in, mostly residential and quiet until the school buses start going by. We handle a lot of the leisure and travel planning from this small office. It’s not a big operation with hundreds of people. Usually, it’s just a couple of us sitting at the desks, looking at computer screens and talking on the phone. The office isn't very big, but we have enough space for what we need to do. We don’t really do big advertisements. People just know we are here near the gate. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow and that makes the work harder, but we manage. We’ve got the usual office stuff like a printer that jams occasionally and piles of files that we need to sort through. Working in Alavil means we are close to home for most of us. We deal with people looking for a bit of a break or a holiday. We try to be helpful without making a big fuss about it. It’s practical work. We spend our time looking at maps and checking prices for things. It’s a lot of sitting but we stay busy. It feels good to be a local business that people in the colony recognize when they walk past our front door.
