If you find yourself in Cheerancavu, you might see our place at Building No- 15/494. That is where Heya Foods India Private Limited is set up. It’s a modest building, nothing that stands out too much from the street. We’ve been working out of this space for a while and it suits us just fine. Inside, it’s mostly just space for the products and a small area where we keep the records. The floor is that old-style tile that stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics we need to get the food items sorted and ready. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a small team here, so everyone knows each other’s business and we help out wherever it’s needed. There’s no strict hierarchy or anything like that. We just get the work done. The neighborhood is friendly and we often see the same people walking past every day. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We wear what’s comfortable for moving boxes around. It’s a practical way to run a business and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and focus on what’s in front of us each day without making a big deal out of it.
