We are tucked away on Weavers Street at Sreevihar, right here in Payyanur. Being in the Kannur district of Kerala, things move at a slightly different pace than in the big cities, but the work is just as important. We handle technical support for civil engineering projects under the Civil-Aid Technoclinic name. Mostly, this means we are the ones people call when they need to know if their materials are up to standard or if a structure is holding up like it should. We spend a lot of time out in the humid weather, checking on sites and taking samples back for look-overs. It’s a bit of a mix of office work and getting our hands dirty on-site. The street we are on is usually pretty quiet, which is nice when we have to concentrate on some detailed calculations or reports. We aren't some big, shiny corporation with a glass building. We are just a local team doing the technical legwork for builders and homeowners around here. Sometimes the rains in Kerala make our site work a bit difficult, and we have to wait for things to dry out before we can do proper testing. It’s just the way it goes.
