S.Sar Engineering Ltd

S.Sar Engineering Ltd operates out of Manathana, which is a very green and quiet part of Kannur. The workshop is actually part of the family property at Kadalikkattil. It is not like those massive factories you see in the big cities. It is much smaller and more personal than that. We handle various engineering jobs that come in from the local farms and small businesses around Madapurachal. Sometimes we are repairing an old motor, and other times we are fabricating a specific part that someone cannot find in the local market. The heavy rain in Kerala can be a real challenge for our work, especially in the middle of the year. Everything gets damp and it is a struggle to keep the metal tools from rusting. But we have lived here all our lives, so we know how to deal with the weather. It is just me and a couple of workers who have been with us for a long time. We don't use big corporate words or have long meetings. We just look at the machine or the plan and get to work. Most of our tools have seen better days, but they still work perfectly fine for what we do. We get people coming from all over the district because they heard we could fix things others won't touch. It is good, honest work, even if it gets our clothes dirty every day.
