We are located at 15 Newport Street. You can usually smell the place before you even see it. The scent of cumin and chili is always heavy in the air. We handle spices here. It is not a high-tech operation. We do things by hand mostly. My apron is always stained with different colors from the turmeric or the peppers. Sometimes the spice dust makes everyone sneeze, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big glossy catalog to show people. If you want to know what we have in stock, you just ask us or look at the chalkboard. We source things from where we can get the best quality at the time. It varies from month to month. Newport Street is a busy little spot, so there is always someone walking past the window. We keep the doors open when the weather is nice. It is a simple business. We buy the raw stuff and process it for folks who want to cook a good meal. It keeps us busy.
