The Guide School

You can find us on Dobh Road in Shahpur, which is part of the Kangra district. The Guide School is tucked away in the Vpo and Pehsil area. It’s a quiet spot for the most part, surrounded by the greenery that Himachal is known for. We don't have a giant campus, but there’s enough room for the kids to learn and play. We started this school because we wanted something local for the families living near Shahpur. Most of us who work here live just a few minutes away. It’s a simple life. We spend the mornings waiting for the school bus and watching the local kids walking in. The classrooms are basic and functional. We don't use any fancy technology; it's mostly books, notebooks, and talk. Sometimes the monkeys come around the grounds and we have to shoo them away. It’s just part of being in Kangra. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure the kids in our village and the surrounding areas get their schooling done properly. People in Shahpur know us by name, and that’s how we like it. It’s an honest, small-town school where we do our best with what we have. No big corporate vibes here, just a lot of hard work and local pride. We have been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
