Sahi Soda

Sahi Soda is out in Manodi. If you know the area, it’s not hard to find us. It’s a small place. Not much happens in Manodi that we don't hear about. We spend the day mostly on our feet. The floors are hard on the knees after a few years. Sahi Soda has a simple roof and some old tables. We don't use a computer for everything, mostly just pens and paper for the lists. It works fine for us. Sometimes the rain makes so much noise on the metal roof that you can't hear yourself think. We just wait for it to stop. The water runs down the dirt road outside. We’ve been at this for a while. It’s just a job like any other. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything stays on track. Manodi is quiet in the mornings. We like it that way. By noon it gets a bit more hectic with people coming and going. We don't do much talking, just keep our heads down and get the bottles ready. The crates are heavy and the work is tiring. But it’s what we do. Sahi Soda is just a local spot. Nothing fancy or complicated about it. We close up when the light starts to fade. That's about it for our little corner here. We put the locks on the gate and walk down the road to get home before dark. It is a simple life for us here in Manodi.
