Mahajan Hardware Store is sitting right in the Main Market at Raja Ka Talab. If you know the area in Tehsil Nurpur, you have probably walked past us a dozen times. We have been here for a good while now, selling everything from heavy hammers to the smallest screws you can imagine. The shop is a bit crowded because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. You might have to wait a minute while we go find exactly what you need in the back. It is a local place, so we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. We talk about the weather or how the road construction is going while we weigh out nails. It gets busy during the planting season or when people are finally getting around to fixing their roofs before the rain starts. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where you can see the tools before you buy them. It's a simple life running a hardware store in this part of the country. We open early in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is always something that needs fixing, so we stay pretty busy. We just try to keep the right parts in stock so nobody has to travel too far to get their work done.
