Star Chef Catering Services

Star Chef Catering Services is based out of a kitchen on 3rd Cross Street in Amudham Nagar. We are at number 11, right in the heart of Tambaram West. Most mornings start very early here, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the cooking needs to happen. You can usually smell spices and onions frying if you walk down our street in the morning. Our place isn't a fancy restaurant where you sit down to eat. It's more of a workspace where we prep big pots of rice, vegetables, and whatever else is on the menu for the day. It gets very hot and loud with all the burners going at once. We’ve got a small team of cooks and helpers who have been working together for years. We spend a lot of time loading heavy containers into vans to send them off to weddings or small parties around town. Sometimes the floor gets a bit slippery with all the washing up we have to do, but we keep things moving. We don't have a big office or anyone to answer phones in a professional way; usually, someone just wipes their hands and picks up the mobile. It’s hard work and involves a lot of lifting and chopping, but it is what we do for the neighborhood here in Tambaram. We try to get everything out the door on time so the food stays fresh and hot.
