Jk Industries is situated over on 33 Road in Palamadai. We are right in the Periyar Nagar area of Sevilimedu. If you know the neighborhood, we aren’t hard to find. It’s an industrial sort of place, so there is always the sound of machinery and tools going in the background. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years. The building itself has seen a lot of work, and it shows in the scuffed floors and the organized mess of our workspace. We make things here. It’s a hands-on kind of business where you can’t be afraid of getting a bit of grease on your clothes. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We know each other well, which makes the long shifts go by a bit faster. There isn't much in the way of a front office; we spend most of our time out where the actual work happens. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day fixing them, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t do a lot of advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years or heard about us from a neighbor. Sevilimedu is our home, and we take pride in the stuff we put out. It’s basic, solid work. We show up, we do the job, and we go home. It's just what we do every single day.
