Sangeeth Cinegeeth

Our place is at No 2/87 on 7th Street in Ragava Nagar, Moovarasanpet. We are very close to the Madipakkam Koot Road Bus Stop, so there’s always a crowd of people waiting for buses nearby. We focus on cinema music and sangeeth performances. It’s a small house where we do our rehearsals and keep all our musical gear. You can usually hear someone singing or playing a keyboard if you walk past during the evening. We aren't a big commercial studio; it's just a place with some decent microphones and a few instruments. Most of the people in our group live around Madipakkam, so it’s easy for us to get together and practice. We’ve been doing this for several years now, mostly performing at local functions and community events where people want to hear movie songs. The 7th Street is a quiet residential lane except for when we are making noise. We spend a lot of time picking the right songs and making sure the sound system is working right. It’s a lot of cables and batteries to keep track of. Sometimes we have to pile into a couple of autos with all our stuff to get to a gig. We aren't doing this for the fame; we just like the music and the way people react when they hear a song they like. It's a humble setup, but it works for us and the people who hire us.
