Salsa Events

Salsa Events is located at No 6/7 on 48th Street in Thillai Ganga Nagar. We are right near the bridge in Nanganallur, so you can often hear the traffic and the trains passing by from our workspace. It’s a regular neighborhood spot. We started this because we liked putting things together for the people we knew. Now we take on more work, but we still keep that local feel. Our office is basically a room filled with notebooks, some samples of materials, and a very old computer that somehow still works. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with different suppliers. Being near the bridge means we are well-connected, but the noise can be a lot sometimes. We aren’t a corporate company; we’re just a small group of people who enjoy the chaos of organizing a big party or a community gathering. There’s a lot of manual labor involved, from carrying boxes to setting up stages in the heat. We don't mind it though. We’ve lived in Nanganallur for a long time, so we know most of the venue owners and the guys who rent out the chairs. It’s all about these local connections that make the work possible. We usually have a lot of tea and sit around the table figuring out the schedule for the upcoming weekend. It's a modest operation, and we like it that way.
