Being out at Nokia Telecom Sez in the Sipcot Industrial Park means we are quite a distance from the main city. We are located right off NH-4 in Sriperambudur. It is a massive area, and honestly, you can get lost just trying to find the right gate. We work on the telecom side of things here. Nokia India has a lot going on at this site, from hardware stuff to testing all sorts of equipment. It is a very industrial feel, with a lot of security and big buildings everywhere. Most of us spend a long time on the bus or in cars just to get to work every morning. The heat in Sriperambudur can be pretty intense, especially in the middle of the day when you're walking between buildings. The canteen is where most of us catch up. It isn't exactly a quiet spot. There is always the sound of machines or trucks moving in the distance. We deal with a lot of technical specifications and making sure the mobile networks have what they need to stay up. It is a big operation with a lot of moving parts. We just try to do our bit in our corner of the park. It’s a lot of long hours and technical talk, but that is just how it is when you’re working in a place this size.
