Over at A-11 & 12 in the Sipcot Industrial Park, things never really seem to stop. Irungattukottai is quite a distance for many of us, so the company buses are a big part of our lives. Working at Foxconn India Private Limited is about being part of a very big factory. The scale of the park is huge, and you can get lost just walking from one gate to another. Inside, it is all about the shifts and the production lines. We wear our uniforms and follow the schedules strictly because that is how things work here. It is loud with the sound of machinery and the hum of the ventilation system. We don't have much time for idle talk during the shift, but the canteen during break time is a different story. That is where you hear all the gossip and news from different departments. It is a very practical place. We focus on our specific tasks, whether it's assembly or checking the parts. The humidity in this part of the country can be tough, but the factory floor is kept at a steady temperature. When the shift ends, there is a massive rush of people heading for the exits. It’s a long day, and the work is repetitive, but it’s what we do. We just come in, do our bit, and wait for the bus to take us back home. The traffic on the way back can be a real headache.
