Centrefold Fashions

We are located at No.3/159 on Mount Poonamallee Road. Manapakkam is a busy area, and being right on the main road means there’s constant traffic noise coming in through the windows. It’s a fashion business, so the place is full of fabric rolls and sewing machines. You’ll hear the clicking of needles and the whirring of motors from morning until evening. There are scraps of thread and cloth all over the floor by the end of the day. We have racks of finished clothes leaning against the walls in every corner. It’s not a fancy boutique with mannequins in the window. It’s more of a workshop where the actual making happens. The light is usually bright so the tailors can see what they are doing. We have a few big cutting tables that take up most of the central space. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we are trying to meet a big deadline. People are shouting over the machines to be heard. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the building shows its age a bit. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are always too busy to worry about that. We just focus on the patterns and the stitching. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours. We usually grab a quick snack from the vendors outside. It’s a lively place to be.
