Abcd Hospital

Our hospital is located at number 14 on Ulakalandha Perumal Koil Sannadhi Street. If you know the Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Koil, you know exactly where we are, as we are right on that same busy street. It’s a very traditional part of town, and the atmosphere outside is always full of energy from the temple visitors. Our building is an older structure, but it’s solid and serves its purpose well. We provide basic hospital care for the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where the floors are mopped three times a day but still look a bit worn down from all the feet walking over them. We don't have a big PR department or anything like that. We just focus on the patients who come through the door. Sometimes the street gets so crowded with devotees that it’s hard for the doctor to get his car to the front, but we always manage somehow. We have a small ward for people who need to stay the night. The nurses are local women who speak the language and know how to make the patients feel comfortable. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. We’ve been here for years and the temple bells have become the soundtrack to our daily work. It’s just a regular hospital for regular people.
