Amirtham Nursery & Primary School

We are a small school located at No 3 on the Kanchipuram Main Road in Walajabad. Amirtham Nursery & Primary School is mostly for the little kids who live around this area. It’s a small building, and we have tried to make it look welcoming for the young ones. Since we are right on the main road, it is very easy for parents to drop their children off on their way to work. We have a few rooms for the nursery classes and a couple more for the primary students. The noise of the traffic is always there, but once the kids start singing their rhymes, you don't notice it as much. We have a few plastic slides and toys in the corner for them to play with during their breaks. The teachers are patient because working with small children requires that. We don't have a huge staff, just a few local women who enjoy teaching. The office is just a desk near the front door. We keep track of everything in big ledgers. It’s a very simple setup. We focus on teaching the kids how to read, write, and behave well with others. Most days are spent doing drawings or learning the alphabet. It’s a cozy place, and we know every child by their name. We've been serving the Walajabad community for a good while now without any fuss or trouble.
