Grasim Industries Ltd. (White Cement Division)

We’ve been running the white cement operations here in Guwahati for a while. Our office is set up over at Narangi Tinali, where we share space with Mr. Rajkumar Prajapati at Sampat Trading Co. It’s a busy little corner of the city, but it works for us. We mostly deal with local folks who need material for their building projects or for fixing up their houses. It isn't a fancy place with polished floors; it's just a functional spot where we can keep the stock and manage the orders. The humidity in this part of Assam can be a real struggle for keeping cement dry, so we have to be pretty careful with how we store everything. Most of the day is spent talking to drivers and making sure the loading happens on time. We’ve got a small team here, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s moving bags or sorting out the paperwork. The roads around Narangi can get quite congested, so we try to plan the deliveries for when it's a bit quieter. We don't use any corporate speak or big promises; we just focus on getting the product to the people who need it. It’s a straightforward job and we like the local feel of being part of the community here. There’s always something to do, but we manage to keep things steady.
