Bhabana Stores

Bhabana Stores is another one of the small shops you’ll find in the Railway Colony area of Bamunimaidan in Guwahati. My name is on the sign, and I spend most of my waking hours here. The address is Railway Colony Road, 781021, which is a fairly easy place to find if you’re from this part of Assam. I mostly sell things that people use in their daily lives, like soap, lentils, and maybe some stationery for the kids. It’s a simple life, really. The shop isn’t very modern, and I still use an old-fashioned ledger to keep track of things. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood come in for candy after school. It’s nice to see them grow up over the years. Guwahati is a fast-growing city, but this little corner of Bamunimaidan stays pretty much the same. I don't have any big plans to expand or anything. I just want to keep things running smoothly for the people who live in the colony. The shop can be a bit dark inside, but I know where everything is. If you're looking for a specific brand of tea or a certain type of snack, I probably have it tucked away somewhere. It’s just a small neighborhood store, and that’s fine with me. I’ve lived in this colony for a long time, so everyone feels like family. That's just the way it is here at Bhabana Stores. No big story, just work every day.
