Saptarshi Coaching Centre

Saptarshi Coaching Centre is located in Ambari Fatashil, right at the Tiniali on A K Deb Road. This part of Guwahati feels very lived-in and busy all the time. Our center is situated in a building that’s been around for quite a while now. Flashy signs or modern decor aren't things we have here. Inside, you'll find rows of benches and some old cupboards filled with stacks of question papers. Evenings are spent here with students from the local area who need some help. Teaching is done in a very traditional way for the most part. We talk about the topic, they write it down, and then checking the work together follows. It’s a slow process sometimes, but that’s how it has always been done. Loud traffic outside the Tiniali often means we have to keep the windows shut to hear each other. Being the biggest school in town isn't the goal. Instead, we want to be a place where a student doesn't feel lost in a huge crowd. Older students often help the younger ones if we are busy with another group. A community effort is what it feels like in here. Knowing the families around here makes the work better. It’s a simple, honest way to work while helping the kids get through their exams. No corporate feel exists here, just a lot of hard work.
