Rakiya Store

Rakiya Store is located right on Satgaon Road in the Panjabari part of Guwahati. We share the same general area as a lot of other businesses, but we have our own way of doing things. Our shop is mostly packed with daily essentials. You’ll see buckets, cleaning supplies, and plenty of food items stacked up on the shelves. It’s a bit tight inside because we try to stock everything people might ask for. Sometimes it feels like a puzzle trying to find a specific item for a customer, but we usually know exactly where everything is. The Satgaon area is quite busy, so there is a lot of noise from the bikes and buses outside. We open the shutters early in the morning and don't close them until the street goes quiet at night. It’s a lot of standing and talking to people, which can be tiring but also quite nice. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people walking by to come in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound, but the shop works fine. We just focus on keeping the stock fresh and making sure we don't run out of the basics like tea or oil. It's a simple life running a store in this part of town. We just take it one day at a time and see how it goes.
