Lakshipar Near L.P School

Down here on Mother Teresa Road in Noonmati, things are always moving. Our place is tucked away in the Pub Geeta Nagar area, right near the old L.P School. Most people around here use that as a landmark when they are trying to find us. It is a quiet enough corner of Guwahati compared to the main roads. We have a modest setup here. The building isn't huge, but it fits everyone inside well enough. In the mornings, you see the parents walking their kids up the road, avoiding the puddles if it rained the night before. Inside, the rooms are filled with old wooden benches that have seen many years of use. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the windows wide open to catch whatever breeze comes through the trees nearby. The staff room is usually a bit messy with papers and tea cups. We talk about the weather or how the local market is getting more expensive. It’s a community feel, really. Everyone knows everyone else's name. When the bell rings for lunch, the whole place smells like home-cooked food from the tiffin boxes. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a school in the neighborhood doing what needs to be done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just keep teaching by the natural light. That’s just life in Noonmati, and we are part of it.
