J.K Steel & Hardware

J.K Steel & Hardware is located in Baladmari, right near the LIC office. Most people use the LIC building as a landmark to find us. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit, and the shop has kind of grown over time. We carry a mix of steel rods and basic hardware supplies. It’s not a fancy place by any means. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the sign out front has faded a bit in the sun. Inside, it's a bit of a maze of metal and boxes. We know where the 10mm bolts are and where the heavy iron is stacked, even if it looks like a mess to everyone else. We don’t have a big corporate structure. It’s usually just a couple of us here, wearing dusty clothes and helping whoever walks through the door. Some days we are busy cutting steel to the right lengths, and other days we just sit and wait for the afternoon rush. We don’t use any high-tech systems; we still write a lot of things down by hand in the ledger. It’s a quiet life most of the time, except when the heavy trucks come to drop off new stock. We just focus on getting the right items to the people who need them for their building projects around Baladmari. It’s honest work, and we don’t feel the need to dress it up. Sometimes we run out of tea, but we never run out of bolts.
