Our place is right on R.G.B. Road in the Nabin Nagar area of Guwahati. Being in this part of Assam means you’re always dealing with the rain or the humidity. We are tucked away in a spot that isn't too easy to find if you aren't looking for it. The traffic on the main road is almost always heavy, so the sound of horns is just part of our daily background noise. Inside, the office is pretty simple. We have the usual stacks of papers and some computers that have been around for years. The walls are a bit stained from the damp weather, but we don't mind it much. We deal with the steel orders as they come in and try to keep things organized. Lunch is a quiet time when we usually sit around the main table and share whatever we brought from home. Most of us live nearby and take the bus to get to the 781024 pin code area. It’s a busy, cramped part of town, but it has a good energy to it. We don't have any fancy lobby or a person to greet you at the door. You just walk in and find us working. It’s a straightforward environment where we just focus on the tasks at hand. The workday usually ends when the sun goes down and the streetlights on R.G.B. Road start flickering on. It’s just how things go here in Guwahati, with the hills in the distance and the humid air making everything feel slow.
