Our office is tucked away in the Maya Apartment building over in Noonmati. We are on the 4th floor, specifically in room 305, E. It is right on MRD Road, near the New Guwahati Tiniali intersection. If you have ever been to this part of Guwahati, you know how congested the traffic can get near the petrol pump and the local markets. Our building is a bit of a landmark for us, even if it looks like any other apartment block from the outside. We have been working from here for a bit now, providing IT services to whoever needs them. The office has a decent view of the hills if you stand by the window, which is nice when you need a break from the screen. We have a few computers set up and a table where we sit for meetings or just to eat our lunch. It is a very practical space. We do not have any expensive art on the walls or leather sofas. It is just a place to get work done. The 4th floor feels high up when the elevator is broken, but we are used to the walk by now. We spend our days troubleshooting problems and answering emails. It is a small team and we all know each other well, so there is not much formality. We just show up, do the tasks for the day, and head back home.
