Geekworkx Consultancy Private Limited is situated at 17 Roopkonwar Path, which is in Bye Lane 2 in the Hengerabari area of Guwahati. Being in Kamrup, we are right in the middle of a lot of growth, but our specific lane is actually quite tucked away. The name of the company gives you a bit of an idea of what we are like. We are a bunch of people who really enjoy the technical side of things. Our office isn't a high-rise; it's a place where we can actually focus. We have a lot of books and cables lying around. It’s the kind of place where work is always happening, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We spend most of our time on consultancy work, which means a lot of talking through problems and looking at code. Hengerabari is a convenient spot for most of the staff to get to. We don't have a big corporate handbook. We just have a few basic rules about keeping the tea pot full and making sure the work is finished on time. It feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We'd rather have better equipment. It’s an honest way to run a consultancy, and it seems to work well for us and the people we help. We just take it one day at a time here. Every day brings a different set of technical issues.
