Shaheen Caterers

Shaheen Caterers has been operating out of Room No. 7 in the Zahirmaulvi Building for a while now. We are up on the second floor, which keeps us away from some of the dust on Rethi Bunder Road, though the noise from the street still finds its way up here. Being so close to the Old Custom Office means there is always something happening outside. Most of our days start pretty early because that is just how this kind of work goes. We spend a lot of time prepping things in the kitchen area. It’s not a fancy setup by any means, just a practical space where we get the cooking done. Sometimes the building gets a bit crowded, especially when other businesses are busy too. We try to keep things organized but when you are dealing with big pots and lots of supplies, things can get a bit cluttered. Kalyan is a busy place and our little corner here reflects that. We just focus on getting through the orders and making sure the food is ready when it needs to be. You won’t find any big signs or flashy lights here, just the door to Room 7. People usually find us by word of mouth or they just know the building. It’s a simple way of working, really. We handle the logistics as they come. Sometimes the delivery vans have a hard time parking near the entrance because the road is narrow, but we manage.
