Our place at Plot No. 3418-1 in the Gidc Estate is where we spend most of our waking hours. Dhanlaxmi Chemicals isn't a massive operation, but we stay busy enough. The smell of the estate is something you get used to after a week—a mix of industrial exhaust and whatever the neighbor is cooking up. We handle various chemical products, mostly moving stuff from big tanks into smaller containers or the other way around. It’s messy work sometimes, and you have to be careful where you step. We have a small crew, mostly local guys who live nearby and know the shortcuts to avoid the traffic during shift changes. There isn't much to say about the building itself; it's a standard shed with some office space carved out in the corner where the paperwork sits. We don’t do much advertising because most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. They just call up or stop by the gate. We spend a lot of time making sure the labels are right and the drums are sealed tight before they go out on the trucks. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and moving things, but it keeps us active. When the power goes out, which happens now and then, we just sit outside and wait it out for a bit. It's a simple, honest way to run things for every one of us here.
